ACIRT Education Foundation Grants

Members of ACIRT may be eligible for a grant from the ACIRT Education Foundation to assist with the costs associated with training and education in a building and construction–related field.

The ACIRT Education Foundation is a separate fund from ACIRT itself, and grants are not funded using members’ entitlements.

2026 Education Grants Are Now Open

Invest in your future and up-skill to keep your career strong and adaptable in the construction industry. Grants of up to $2,500.00 per year are available to eligible members to help cover approved study and qualification costs.

• Grant Amount: Up to $2,500.00 per year (maximum of one application per calendar year).
• Supported Courses: Training programs, TAFE, university, and Registered Training Organisation (RTO) courses directly relevant to the building and construction sector.
• Funding Availability: Funds are very limited, and grants are awarded on an application-by-application basis.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for an Education Grant, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Active ACIRT Account: You must have an active ACIRT account with a positive balance.
• Contribution History: You must have a minimum of 12 months of contributions, including at least one employer contribution received within the 30 days prior to submitting your application.
• Course Status (Strict Requirement): You must apply before starting your course. Members are not eligible to receive a grant for a course that has already commenced or been completed. Unfortunately, ACIRT is unable to waive this requirement under any circumstances.

How to Apply

1. Check Your Eligibility: Log into the ACIRT Member Portal or check your latest statement to ensure your account balance and contribution history meet the criteria above.
2. Choose Your Course: Select an accredited building and construction–related course. Make sure you submit your grant application before the course start date.
3. Submit Your Application: Download and complete the Education Grant Application Form (PDF) and email it directly to: [email protected]
